FRANCO-GERMAN COOPERATION IN KENYA 2012
The French and the German Embassy as well as Cultural Institutes and Development and
Financial Cooperation Agencies of both countries will meet on 20 January 2012 to mark the
Franco-German Day and the anniversary of the Elysée Treaty on 22 January 1963.

GERMAN-KENYAN COOPERATION IN THE SECURITY SECTOR: GERMAN FEDERAL CRIMINAL POLICE DONATES CAR TO DPP
In the course of the close cooperation between the German Federal Criminal Police and the Office
of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), German police will provide their Kenyan partners
with a new car. On Friday, 27 January 2012 at 12 o'clock noon, the German Ambassador to Kenya,
Mrs. Margit Hellwig-Boette, will officially hand over the keys to a Nissan X-Trail to Mr. Keriako
Tobiko, Director of Public Prosecutions, at her residence in Muthaiga.

VISIT OF GERMAN DEVELOPMENT MINISTER TO TURKANA REGION
On Friday 3rd February 2012, the German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and
Development, Mr. Dirk Niebel, will visit the Turkana region. He will be accompanied by the
German Ambassador to Kenya, Mrs. Margit Hellwig-Boette, and a delegation from his ministry
including the Director General for Africa Affairs, Dr. Friedrich Kitschelt.
